JD Robinson, age 59, of Brasstown, NC passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 in Cherokee County, NC.
He was born in Puerto Rico to the late Douglas and Katherine Stokes Robinson. JD was the Fire Chief in Brasstown, NC, a well-known musician, and a long-time instructor at the John C. Campbell Folk School.
He is survived by his children, Ali Robinson of Brooklyn, New York, and Jonathan Robinson of Atlanta, as well as two siblings, Claire Robinson of Orlando, Florida and Mark Robinson of Sautee, Georgia.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the John C. Campbell Folk School Festive Barn.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Brasstown Fire Department, PO Box 55, Brasstown, NC 28902.
