Edward Allen, age 87 of Hayesville, NC passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Hayesville House.
He was born in Queens County, NY to the late Ernest and Anna Doherty Allen. Edward was a US Marine veteran; he served during the Korean War. He was an Assistant Business Manager for the Public School District. Edward grew up in Northern New Jersey and spent 23 years of his retirement in Murphy. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Murphy.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Smith Allen and one son, Robert Edward Allen of Spotswood, NJ.
