Juanita Fansler Booe, a long-time resident of Hayesville, NC was born in Winston-Salem, N.C., the daughter of Daskie Perry and Edward Eugene Fansler. Juanita was born on February 22, 1937. She was of the Christian faith.
She worked for Hanes Hosery in Winston-Salem and then returned from the Winston-Salem School System as cafeteria manager. Juanita found happiness among the kids especially during the holidays. In Hayesville, N.C. Juanita worked for Big D and Ingles as a cashier (talking with the customers was her passion with new and old friends).
Juanita married her high school sweetheart, Joe Peen Booe when she was 15 years old but lost him to cancer in his early 50s.
Her favorite time of the year was the holidays when the house was full of family and friends. A time when some feel stress and confusion brought her happiness for many years.
Juanita is survived by three of her four children, deceased son, Randy Eugene Booe, Deby Jo Booe Ferguson and spouse Larry of Hayesville, N.C., Kenneth Lee Booe and spouse Shellie of Murphy, N.C., Ronald Van Stiles Booe and spouse Cindy Reynolds of Mocksville, N.C.; four grandchildren, Larry Dee Tony Ferguson and spouse Anne-lee Rhodes, Phillip Eugene Booe and spouse Becky Nichols, Tiffany Booe Crandall and spouse James and Joshua Calab Booe; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Elliot Crandall, Aaron-lee and Jordan Ferguson and Katie and Alex Booe.
A Life Memorial will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville with a grave dedication at Little Choga Cemetery in Aquone, N.C. Pallbearers will be Larry Dee Tony Ferguson, Aaron-lee Ferguson, Phillip Booe, Joshua Booe, James Crandall and Sammy Ferguson. Honorary pallbearer will be Jordan Dee Ferguson.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m., Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville.
