Delbert Piercy Marlow, age 88, of Andrews, NC passed away Monday May 22, 2017 in Bryson City, NC.
He was born in Afton, OK to the late Bet Piercy (Chub) and Dora Luella Berkley Marlow. He was a retired self-employed carpenter. Delbert was very involved with the Senior Citizen Center in Andrews, NC. He was a US Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife Patricia (Bobbie) Ellison Marlow; one daughter, Amy Taylor and her husband, Josh of Topton, NC; five sons, Joe Marlow of Olathe, KS, James Marlow of Ft. Worth, TX, Leroy Marlow of Afton, OK, Roger Marlow of Norman, OK and Bert "Geno" Marlow of Tulsa, OK; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews, NC. Rev. Max Cochran and Rev. Patrick O'Dell will officiate. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the V.F.W. Post #10222, Joe Miller Elkin American Legion Post #96 and D.A.V. Chapter #73 and American Legion Post #532 of Hayesville and V.F.W. Post #6812.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Aquone Cemetery Fund, 71 Old School Road, Topton, NC 28781.
