Kaye Lunsford Yonce, age 70 of Murphy, NC passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at her residence.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC. Kaye was the daughter of the late Lloyd Bayless and Ronnie Dephnee Lunsford. Kaye was a beautician at Regis Smart Style for the last seventeen years. She enjoyed doing community benefits for Cherokee County. Kaye attended Upper Peachtree Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Buddy Lunsford and Bob Lunsford and two sisters, Josephine Lunsford and Teresa Lunsford.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Yonce; one son, Eric Yonce; two daughters, Shanna Yonce and companion Ronnie Chastain and Terri Lapwood and husband Tim; six sisters, Lucille Carter, Jan Barker and husband John, Joyce Owenby, Shirley Grindstaff and husband Reid, Karen Sherrill and husband Terry and Debra English and husband Mike; one great uncle, Junior Blaylock; five grandchildren, Alex Parker, Joe Daniel Deetz, Harmony Lunsford, James Lapwood and wife, Helen and Katie Lapwood; one great granddaughter, Eliza Rose Lapwood; one special niece, MSGT Kendra Owenby; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 PM, Friday, May 26, 2017 at the Upper Peachtree Baptist Church. Rev. Aud Brown and Rev. Steve West will officiate. Music will be provided by Bob Leatherwood and Joe Adams and the Wilson Family. Burial will be in the Valley River Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sage Bryson, Hunter Cornwell, Kaleb Cornwell, Kurt English, Tommy Yonce and David Yonce. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Van Gorder and Alex Parker.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM, Friday, May 26, 2017 at the Upper Peachtree Baptist Church.
