Mattie Thelma Loftis, age 90, of Hayesville, NC passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at her residence.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County, NC and the daughter of the late James and Ina Bell Maney Bradley. Mattie was an assembly line worker for ACI in Hayesville. She loved canning and cooking. Mattie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Saved by Grace Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband, Coy "R.B." Loftis; and two sons, Dillard Loftis and Wade Loftis.
She is survived by two sons, Willard Loftis and Allen Loftis both of Hayesville; four daughters, Clayta Forrester and Vickie Coker both of Hayesville, Eunata Nelms of Cleveland, GA and Anita Sosebee of Young Harris, GA; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville. Pastor Shannon Burrell will officiate. Burial will be in the Shooting Creek Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, July 19, 2014 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville.
