Arch Avary III, age 86 of Hayesville, NC passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at his residence.
He was born in Dekalb County, GA to the late Archer Avary Jr., and Isabelle Wilson Avary. Arch worked in commercial art with the Cordis Corporation. He enjoyed drawing, miniature sculpting, and medical research. Arch attended the Hayesville First United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother and sister.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sarah Darsey Avary; children, Sheila Darsey Avary, Joseph Archer Avary and Robert Fulton Avary; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Hayesville First United Methodist Church. Rev. Kirk Hatherly will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hayesville First United Methodist Church, PO Box 85, Hayesville, NC 28904 or to the charity of your choice.
