Amanda Jean Newton Reynolds, age 39 of Murphy, NC passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 at Murphy Medical Center.
She was born in Thomasville, NC to the late Jean Lovingood Newton and Therman Newton and wife Jody of Murphy, NC. Amanda was a homemaker. She was a member of Wilscott Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her nephew, Zavier Thompson
In addition to her father she is survived by her husband, Jamie Reynolds; three brothers, Jason Newton, Jamie Newton and wife Natasha, Bronson Newton and wife Brittany and Scotty Newton; one sister, April Hughes and husband David; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 4 PM, Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Rev. Billy Rhodes, Rev. John Horton and Rev. Andy Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the Shooting Creek Memorial Gardens in Hayesville. Pallbearers will be Randal Lovingood, Ronald Ware, Steve Tanner, Jared Gurley, Preston Cabe and Steve Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Newton, Jamie Newton, Bronson Newton, Tommy Howard and Jake Rhodes.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM, Monday, September 4, 2017 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.
