Doris Gulley, age 86 of Murphy, NC passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Hayesville House.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC. Doris was the daughter of the late William "Willie" and Lou Ella Henson Givens. She was a case worker for the Cherokee County Department of Social Services. Doris was a member of the Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Gulley and daughter, Karen Gulley.
She is is survived by one brother, Jimmy Givens and wife Carol of Balsam, NC; three grandchildren, Dustin McClure, Jon McClure and wife, Kary McClure and Amanda McClure; three great-grandchildren, Tyler McClure, Ellie McClure and Emree McClure and niece, Lynn Sheean and husband Don.
A graveside service will be held at 1 PM, Friday, September 8, 2017 at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in the Peachtree community.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Jim Hendrix, 3195 Old Peachtree Road, Murphy, NC 28906.
