Bobby Cornwell, age 70 of Murphy, NC passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN.
He was born in Ducktown, TN to the late Arthur and Mary Lou Cornwell. Bobby was a self-employed carpenter. He attended Rowland Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded death by one son, Jimmy Roberson; one daughter, Barbara Roberson and two brothers, Jackie McMillain and Bill Cornwell.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Cornwell; three sons, three daughters, several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm, Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Rev. Matt Mull and Pastor Harold Stiles will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Preston Graves, John Pendergrass, Max Shipman and Josh Deese. Honorary pallbearers will be Whitey Sutton, Dewayne Patterson and Ray Cody.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm, Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy.
