Wanda was a member of Hayesville Church of God, a godly woman who loved witnessing to her family and friends about the Lord and all the blessing he had to offer. She loved Gospel music, and was always encouraging her grandchildren when they began to play musical instruments and to sing.

Wanda was retired from Clay County Care Center where she worked as a cook, which cooking was one of her great passions, especially if she was cooking for family and friends.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a loyal friend and neighbor. She cared deeply about other people. Wanda loved family and the big family gatherings, and telling stories about the antics of her grandchildren whom she adored.

Along with cooking, family and friends, she had a great passion for her flowers. Wanda liked to plant things and watched them grow. Always willing to share cuttings or seeds just the same as she shared her recipes.
