Donnie Oma Roberson Mason went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 3, 2021 surrounded by family.
She was the daughter of the late John Henry and Iowa Isabella Raper Roberson. Donnie was a deflasher for electronic components. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and had attended Shady Grove Baptist Church.
After Donnie retired, she enjoyed the outdoors working in the garden, flowers and was still weed eating at the age of 80. She quilted some of the most beautiful quilts in the country, even as she got bedridden, she still wanted a needle and thread.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mack Clemson Mason; daughter, Carolyn Mason; brothers, A.J. Walter and Wayne Roberson; sisters, Etta and Nona Anderson; and grandson Terry.
Surviving are her sons, Rayburn (Judy) Mason and Shane Mason; daughters, Mavis West and P-Nut Mason, all of the Murphy area; grandchildren, Toni, Sissy, Jennifer, Jamie and Logan; great-grandchildren, Stephen, Ceairah, Sarah, Dalton, Johnathan, Rae, Eli and J.D.; great-great-grandchildren, Kiley, Adilyn and Londyn; special friends, Joan, Nancy, Charlie and all personell from hospice and home health, Good Shephard.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm, Monday, June 7, 2021 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy. Pastor Steve Ware will officiate. Music will be conducted by Elaine Young and George VanBuskirk. Burial will be in Shady Grove Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 1 pm - 2 pm, Monday, June 7, 2021 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.
