Pearl Ruth Roberts, 88, of Unaka passed away Monday, June 07, 2021 at her residence. She was a native of Cherokee County where she had worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier. Pearl loved flowers, gardening, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was the daughter of the late John and Vesta Whitener Beaver and the wife of the late John Roberts. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Leonard, Charles, and Duel Beaver; a sister, Lois Garland.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Roberts, and Teresa Roberts; a son, Aaron Roberts; two sisters, Martha McHan, and Earl Johnson; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and five step-great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 1:00 PM in Townson-Rose Chapel in Murphy with Rev. Rondal Brown and Dr. Chester Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Unaka Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 PM at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Murphy.
