Obituary for Cameron Blake Gilliam

Cameron Blake Gilliam, age 25 of Andrews, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021.

Cameron was born in Cherokee County to Johnny Gilliam of Gainsville, GA and Heather Piercy Gilliam. He was fan of the Boston Celtics, Red Sox and Alabama football. Cameron was a member of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church of Andrews. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran who had been stationed at Schofield Barracks TC in Hawaii. Cameron was fun to be around.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, John and Kathy Piercy of Andrews; brother, Stephen Gamble; step-brothers, Damien Blasiol and Stone Blasiol; sister, Gabby Gilliam; step-sister, Claudia Blaisiol; and several aunts and uncles.

Cameron is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Betty June Hunt. A Funeral Service will be held at 4 pm, Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Grace Fellowship Baptist Church in Andrews. Rev. Jack Hollowell and Minister Jackie Sullivan will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with military graveside rites being conducted by the American Legion Post #96 Murphy, American Legion Post 532 Hayesville, VFW Post 6812, Hayesville, NC and the Marine Corp League Marble, NC. Pallbearers will be Darrie Stabler, Jason Morman, Paul Rambler, Clay Wiggins, Jason Johnson and Randy Glass.

The family will receive friends from 2 pm - 4 pm, Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Grace Fellowship Baptist Church.
