Blaine Westley Adams, 83, of Andrews passed away Thursday July 15, 2021 at his residence. Blaine had left the Cherokee County area but had returned in 1965. He had worked for Columbian Marble Company, Ohio Ford Company, and Coats America for 27 years. Blaine was a member of the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church.
He was the son of the late James Westley and Ruby Derreberry Adams. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Verne Adams; and a sister, Freda Adams.
Surviving are a son, J.D. Adams and wife, Peggy of Kathleen, GA; a daughter, Betty Jean Hawkins, and husband, Michael; two brothers Ronnie and Steve Adams, both of Andrews; three sisters, Clara Mae Gibson of Andrews, June West of Hayesville, and Kay Morgan of Murphy; seven grandsons, and a great grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, July 18, 2021 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews with Rev. Steve West officiating. Pallbearers will be Chase Hawkins, Phillip Gibson, Stanley Gibson, Craig West, Matthew Adams, and Brandon Adams. Interment will be in Valley River Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 Sunday afternoon at the Townson-Rose Chapel prior to the services.
