Christopher Douglas Baldwin, age 56 of Gastonia, North Carolina passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021.
Christopher was born in Murphy, NC to the late Mary White Messer and the late Omer Baldwin. He was a truck driver and enjoyed dirt track racing.
In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Kermit Messer.
Christopher is survived by his wife, Marie Mathis Baldwin; sons, James Baldwin (Leia), Christopher Baldwin (Candy), Dalton Baldwin and Christopher Cranford (Jody); brother David Baldwin; sisters, Mary Jane Evans, Joyce Conley (Freddie), Susan Abercrombie (Randy), Melissa Morgan and Teresa Messer; an uncle, Marvin White; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Keith Patterson.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Murphy. Tommy Messer will officiate. Burial will be at Valleytown Cemetery in Andrews. Pallbearers will be Cole Baldwin, Dalton Baldwin, James Baldwin, Freddie Conley, Chris Cranford and Keith Patterson.
The family will receive friends from 1pm-2pm, Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
