Markle "Mark" Eddie Payne, age 57 passed away Friday, October 29, 2021.
He was born in Cherokee County, NC to Winfred and Freda Payne of Murphy, NC. Mark was a hard worker. He was always tinkering with a project. Mark enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He loved playing with kids and always enjoyed making people laugh. Mark was a father to the fatherless.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Darrell Payne and Lee Graham; and one sister, Janice Payne.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Holly Payne; two sons, Presley Payne and Luca Payne both of Murphy; two daughters, Hannah Guthrie of Murphy and Emily Payne of Georgia; two sisters, Sharon Oliver (Kenneth) of Hayesville, NC and Sondra Graham (Brandon) of Murphy; and an expected granddaughter on the way, Emma Rose Guthrie.
No services are planned at this time.
