Martha Ann Booe Carroll, age 81 of Murphy, NC passed away Monday, January 17, 2022.
She was born in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Luther and Vassie Williams Booe. Martha worked at Clifton Precision. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball as a pitcher. Martha loved camping, talking long walks on the beach, was an animal lover and loved painting pictures. She enjoyed listening to The Pressley Gospel Group of out Branson, Missouri and Roy and Joey Feek. Martha was family oriented; she was a huge supporter of kids and grandkids sport activities. She was a caregiver to many in her community and was always willing to her family and friends. Martha loved Facebook; she was able to keep up with all her family and friends. She was a member of the Peachtree Church of Christ and was very faithful to her Lord and church.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, James Carroll; daughter, Belinda Gaddis (Randy) of Murphy, NC; son, Jimmy Carroll (Ann) of Murphy, NC; son, Scott Carroll (Judy) of Hayesville, NC; daughter, Edwina “Peanut” Rogers (David) of Hayesville, NC; one brother, Alton Booe of Winston-Salem, NC; one sister, Nancy Worell of Winston-Salem, NC; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 pm, Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the Peachtree Church of Christ. Family and friends will give a eulogy. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin and Derick Gaddis, Michael Carroll, Robert Rogers, McKensie, Spencer, Ryan and Levi Gentle. Honorary pallbearer will be Alan Chambers.
The family will receive friends from 1 pm – 2:30 pm, Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.
The family respectively recommends that you wear a mask for visitation and funeral services.
