William Palmer Milne, III, 81, of Hayesville passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022. He was born in Louisville, KY to the late Rev. William Milne, Jr and Martha Jo Walters Milne. William had worked as a restaurant manager and trainer. He enjoyed music, and particularly singing in various choirs in the Barbershop association in Blairsville. William was an excellent chef, enjoyed cooking, woodworking, and was an excellent dancer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Douglas Milne; and a brother, Charles Milne.
Surviving are his wife, Sherrill Milne; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Milne; a step daughter, Susan J. Borkman and husband Michael; a sister, Elanor Kenitzer; and two granddaughters, Corey and Allison; and a grandson, Michael.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm, April 2, 2022 at the Hickory Stand United Methodist Church in Brasstown NC. Rev. Larry Payne will officiate.
