Avery Justin Kilpatrick, age 39 of Andrews, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
Avery was born in Murphy to Winnie Gibby Kilpatrick and the late Elick Kilpatrick. He was a lineman for MasTec Power. Avery loved fishing and nature. He was a graduate of Nantahala High School and also attended Wahoo Baptist Church in Murrayville, Georgia.
Avery is survived by his brothers, Eric Kilpatrick and wife Mallisa and Andy Kilpatrick; his sisters, Margaret Coffey and husband Johnny and Shirley Cutshaw and husband Lennie; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 3pm on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Townson-Rose Chapel of Andrews. Preachers Mark Stroud, John Dowdy and Coby Gilleland will officiate. Burial will be in Little Choga Cemetery in Nantahala. Pallbearers will be Erick Kilpatrick, Ethan Kilpatrick, David Smith, Scott Morgan, Casey Collins and Kevin Baldwin.
The family will receive friends from 2pm to 3pm on Sunday, October 2, 2022 prior to the funeral service.
