Gladys Faye Davis, age 89 of Andrews, NC passed away Friday, May 28, 2021.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the daughter of the late Henry Earl and Bertha Allen Davis. Gladys worked as a C.N.A at Murphy Medical Center Nursing Home. She enjoyed painting and gardening. Gladys loved her kids and grandchildren; she was known as "Granny". She enjoyed playing board games and also enjoyed social interacting with others.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Dewey, Hubert, Elbert, J.B., J.C. Davis and Henry Davis, Jr.; and sisters, Bonny O'Dell, Loreen O'Dell, Francis Davis and Rowena Caroll.
She is survived by her son, Robert Clay Dockery of Murphy; six daughters, Alice Graham (Will), Betty Ann Stiles (Mike), Faye Marie Dockery, Helen Rogers (Bradley), Peggy Sue Duncan and Monica Allen (Mark); 21 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
The family will have a private funeral service at a later date.
