Obituary for Larry Allen Wilshon

Larry Allen Wilshon, age 59 of Hayesville, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

Larry was born in High Point, North Carolina to Connie McClure and the late Carroll Wishon. He had worked in residential carpentry. Larry enjoyed traveling, doing missionary work, camping and spending time with his family. He was an avid coin collector, loved hiking and being outdoors. Larry was a diehard basketball fan for North Carolina Tarheels. He was a member of Marble Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Leroy Dale Owens.

He is survived by his wife, Billie Blankenship Wishon; his mother, Connie Dehalt McClure; his daughter, Ashley Wishon (Terry); his brother, David Wishon (Marion); his half-brother, Jamey Wishon; his sister, Sandra Allen; and six grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Marble Springs Baptist Church.
