Timothy Alvie Washburn of Woodstock Georgia passed away Tuesday February 16, 2021 with family at his side.
Tim was born on October 1, 1949 to Earl Dowers and Vera Leoma (Brumbeloe) Washburn. He worked as an Engineering Associate for AT&T until his retirement.
Tim could be found helping with car repairs, building computers, working in his shop, cutting the grass at the mountain cabin or watching the news with his favorite dog Callie sitting on his lap.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Derward Washburn, and his sister Mona Washburn.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Evelyn Washburn; his daughter and her husband Tonya and David Carter and Kelsey Carter, his precious and much-loved granddaughter. His sister Dian Jefferies and Debbie Young; sister-in-law, Judy Croft; nephews and nieces, David (Cathy)Washburn, Karen (Larry) Thaxton, David (Amber)Hite, Samantha (Kenny) Young, and many great nephews and great nieces who will all miss him very much.
A private family graveside service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Union Hill Cemetery in Hayesville. Rev. Aud Brown and David Washburn will officiate.
