Gene G. Aderhold, age 89 of Murphy, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 at his residence.
He was a native of Decatur, GA and a son of the late Hiram and Katherine Gordon Aderhold. Gene was a US Marine Veteran during the Korean Conflict and served the whole year of 1952 in Korea. He was a member of the Marine Corps League Cherokee Detachment #1011 and Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church.
Gene is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sons, Gordon of Covington, GA and David and wife Beverly of Banner Elk, NC; daughter, Bonnie of Social Circle, GA; brother, Bobby and wife Shirley of Loganville, GA; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service with military honors will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Hillandale Memorial Gardens in Lithonia, Georgia. His son, David Aderhold will officiate.
