Gary Lee Welch, age 66 of Marble, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Hospital.
Gary was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was born on December 3rd, 1954 in Murphy, NC where he lived his whole life. Gary is the son of the late Lola Lee Smith and Fred Edward Welch. He was a member of Trinity Gospel Baptist Church. Gary worked with Welch Bro's Trucking and Construction. He loved God, his family, riding his motorcycle and cruising in his Mustang.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Welch; his brother, Bobby Welch and wife Karen; an adopted son, Mike Welch and wife Missy; three daughters, Mckendra Bryson, Serena Peterson and husband Chris and Desiree Graves and husband Devan; four grandchildren, Kodi Hays, Alisa Holt and husband Zack, Destiny Milsaps and husband Jeffery, and soon to arrive Axl Graves; four great grandchildren, Clyde and Kylie Holt and Rylee and Kaden Millsaps.
A Funeral Service will be held at 7pm on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Rev. Dennis Ashe will officiate.
