Our beloved father, son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, Michael “Mikie” Ray Wickline returned to his Heavenly Father unexpectedly on October 9th 2021 at the young age of 30. Mikie was born in Murphy, North Carolina on November 23, 1990.
Mikie was “one of a kind”. Mikie was known for his sense of humor and protective nature. If you were honored to know him then you know you will never meet anyone else like him. He enjoyed hunting, fishing with his son and spending time with friends and family. When you think of Mikie celebrate the good memories you have of him. He will be missed more than words could express but he will forever be in our hearts until we meet again.
Mikie is survived by his Mother, Sherrie Rowland, his Father Gary Rowland, his Brothers Todd Rowland and Austin Rowland (Carina Dockery), his Sisters Ashley Ray and Lindsey Smith (Aaron Smith), his Son Harley Wickline, Many Nieces and Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.
He is preceded in death by grandparents, Marilyn Garrett, Michael Garrett, aunt Melinda Garrett and niece Ava Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Rev. Eddie Ramey will officiate. Burial will be at Rowland Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dalton Danielson, Austin Rowland, Todd Rowland, Joseph Nichols, Anthony Garrett, Josh Little, and Aaron Smith. Honorary pallbearer is Matthew Danielson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy to help cover the cost of funeral expenses.
