Linda Roberts was born Linda Davis on August 8th, 1947 to Dewey and Vida Mae Davis in Cherokee County North Carolina. Linda moved with her family to Boring Oregon in 1960. She married Charles Roberts on February 8th, 1968 and together they lived in both North Carolina and Oregon, enjoying 55 years of marriage before Charles passed in September 2023.
Linda was survived by her mother Vida Davis, sister Carolitta Renfro, nieces Sara & Amanda Theod and her adopted granddaughter Gracee Salmela. For much of her adult life Linda worked as a bank teller for First Interstate Bank and later provided administrative support at Walker Travel in Gresham.
Linda was a Christian by faith and was a member of the Sandy Baptist Church congregation for many years. She enjoyed photography, and it was not uncommon to find a camera in her hands taking pictures of flowers or at family gatherings. Linda loved spending time at the beach and traveling. She and Charlie had the opportunity to travel to Hawaii, The Cook Islands and New Zealand among other places. Linda had an affinity for butterflies and enjoyed flowers, keeping a garden and loved spending time outside in warm sunny weather. To know Linda was to know a gentle, kind and selfless woman.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm, Sunday, June 23, 2024 at the Owl Creek Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
