The world bids farewell to Teresa Anne (Chastain) Schmaldinst of Charlotte, North Carolina, born in Cherokee County, North Carolina, departing on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at the age of 56. Teresa Anne leaves behind memories cherished by the community.
She was preceded in death by : her parents, Lester Chastain and Nettie Hyde Chastain; her son Heath Graves; and her sisters, Millisa Chastain and Zannie Lee Harris.
She is survived by; her husband Paul R. Schmaldinst; her pet Lily Ann; her stepsons, Devon Schmaldinst, Tyler Schmaldinst (Sean Hayes), Ethan Schmaldinst (Julia) and Collin Schmaldinst (Leta); her brother Steve Chastain (Lois); her granddaughter Lily Grace Schmaldinst; and her close friend Richard Cecil. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at the Sunny Point Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Harris, Pastor Kenny Corn, Rev. Ronnie Dilbeck, and Pastor Dwayne Barber officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Devon Schmaldinst, Josh Harris, Seth Harris, Noah Barber, Elijah Barber, Jacob Harris, Ethan Harris, and Brady Harris. Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Cecil, David Chastain, Morris Graves, Ronald Harris, Scott Harris, and Mark Harris.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the Sunny Point Baptist Church prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests to make donations in Teresa's memory to Sunny Point Baptist Church, 2501 Sunny Point Road, Murphy, NC 28906.
