Obituary for Harry Burton Hogan

Harry Burton Hogan, 75, of Brasstown passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024. He was the son of the late Bert Nelson Hogan,Jr. and Louise Virginia Coker Hogan. He was a lifetime resident of Cherokee County. Harry had worked with IOI Team Industries. He was saved at Little Brasstown Church and was a member of Unaka Baptist Church. Harry loved going to Florida on vacation, farming, watching sports, especially basketball. He was a caregiver for his mother for 15 years. He had graduated from Martins Creek Elementary School as Valedictorian and attended Murphy High School, and Truett McConnell University.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Brenda Hogan.

Harry is survived by brother, Thomas Howard Hogan (Diana); half-brother, LB Ledford (Wanda); a sister, Candice Jean Bailey (Lester); and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 3pm on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Little Brasstown Baptist Church with Rev. Aud Brown and Rev. Ronald Brown officiating. Burial will be at Little Brasstown Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Charles Hogan, Nathan Stanfield, Rohan Sharma, Rob Scott, Carter Scott, and Cason Scott.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm prior to the funeral service.
