James Bert McJunkins, age 72 of Murphy, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.
James was born in Sweetwater, TN to the late Atlas G. McJunkins and Mae Bell Taylor Rose McJunkins. He worked in the sawmill industry. James enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, gardening, looking for arrowheads, cooking and cleaning. James had a special love for his animals, Oreo and Pat Pat.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Janice McJunkins.
James is survived by his ex-wife, Pat McCrae; his daughter, Sharon "Renee" Vance (Joe); his grandchild, Erika Renee Young (Evan); and his great grandchild, Avery Renee Young.
The family will receive friends from 6pm to 7pm on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. A special prayer will be said at the closing of visitation.
