Jessica Rose Whitener Richie, age 45 of Murphy, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2024.
Jessica was born in Andrews, NC to Jerry Whitener and Tenna Moss Whitener. She loved playing the piano and taking care of her family. Jessica attended Mount Nebo Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Randall Wade Richie.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sons, Gabriel Richie (Tonya) and Grayson Richie; her brother, Joseph Whitener; and her sister, Samantha Lackey (Joe).
A funeral service will be held at 3pm on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Grape Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Kilpatrick, Rev. John Parrish and Rev. Steve West will officiate. Burial will be at Grape Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kruz Stewart, Chase Brinkie, Kevin Carter, Amadeus Sertain, Isiah Perkins and Perry Richie. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Dockery, Keith Whitener and Wayne Dockery.
The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy.
