Juanita Eulene Allison, age 74 of Marble, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at her residence.
Juanita was born in Cherokee County to the late Fred Horton and Laura Grogon Horton. She had worked as a hairdresser. Juanita loved sewing, shopping, going places, cooking for her family and always doing for others. She was the owner and operator of Juanita and Sheila Hampton Beauty Barn for more than 25 years and continued to cut hair for many years. Juanita attended Maltby Baptist Church in Marble.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, George Henry Allison; her brothers, Roy, Clifford and John Horton; and her sister, Opal Moore.
She is survived by her sons, Shane Allison (Kristie) and Adam Allison; her brother, Troy Horton (Gloria); her sisters, Talitha Brown (Robert) and Jennie Roberts; her grandchildren, Lexie Powell (Adam), Maggie Allison and Madilyn Allison; her great granddaughter, Oaklynn Powell; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 7pm on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy with Pastor Zack Orton officiating. Music will be conducted by Ashley and Jimmy Joe Williams.
The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm prior to the memorial service.
