Sandra Charlene Ledford Barnard, age 63 of Hayesville, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
Sandra was born in Hiawassee, Georgia to Iola Nelson of Hayesville NC and the late Charles Ledford. She worked in the textile industry as a sewing machine operator. Sandra enjoyed camping, cooking and horseback riding. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and loved going to church; she was committed to Christ. Sandra attended Downings Creek Baptist Church in Hayesville.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her brother, David Ledford.
She is survived by her mother, Iola Nelson (RL) of Hayesville; her husband, life partner and best friend, Rex Patterson of Hayesville; sons, Dee Barnard (Carol) of Hayesville and Jessey Patterson of Topton, NC; daughters, Michele Rogers (Eric) of Hayesville, Misty Brooks (Blake) of Warne, NC, Ashley Sullivan (Kell) of Boston, MA and Jacquelyn Patterson of Hayesville, NC; her brothers, Danny Ledford, Gary Ledford and Michael Ledford all of Hiawassee; her sisters, Andi Ledford of Hiawassee, GA, Lisa Nixon of St. James City, FL, Tammy Keyes of Hiawassee, GA and Amber Ledford of Blairsville, GA; and nine grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm, Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Downings Creek Baptist Church in Hayesville.
