Obituary for Stanley Eugene Obrien

Stanley Eugene Obrien, age 95 of Cherokee County passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024.

He was born in Denver Colorado to the late Perry and Vesta Obrian. He worked as a lineman in telecommunications. He was of the Christian Faith and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Murphy. His hobbies consisted of watching cowboy movies, gardening, and taking care of his own business.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Obrien.

He is survived by his son, Michael Obrien; his daughters, Elizabeth Richardson (William), Marilyn Biles (Eric), Annette Smith (Mark), and Carlene Manning; his grandson Ryan Gitchel; his granddaughters, Angela Anastos, Jennifer Miller, Hannah Smith, Stacy Gulley, Shawna Freeman, and Andrea Freeman; his great-grandchildren, Collin Anastos, Tristen Anastos, Ethan Cox, Noah Austin Smith, Desmond Kane, Lukas Kane, Evan Harold, and Brendan Corvarubis, Jadyn Anastos, Evelyn Cox, Lilly Cox, Keira-Ann Smith, Kaisa Harold, Jaden Harold, and Lauren Corvarubis; and his great-great-grandchildren, Jaxson Freeman and Maalea Harold.
