Stacy Dewayne Ledford, age 55, took his flight Monday, October 14, 2024, peacefully at his parents' home in Murphy NC.
Stacy was born in Copperhill Tenn in 1969 to Buddy and Linda Ledford from Murphy, NC. Stacy was a logger by trade. He loved logging and working on equipment, but his greatest passion was driving a Peterbilt truck.
Stacy lived a full and challenging life. He dreamed of being a lifelong logger like his father but when this dream became unattainable for him due to his health declining from many accidents and surgeries, he focused on his family and friends.
Stacy had a knack for tinkering and a gift to tear up an iron anvil like no other. He enjoyed music, anything with a motor, spending time chatting, animals, and farming. Stacy was a pleasant, kind, loving, and open person to everyone whom he came across, a friend to all. Stacy's life was full of challenges that he bravely faced, and he is now at peace.
Stacy has made his journey home to join his brother Jeff, his friend Dawn Westmoreland, his cousin Jessica Pinkerton, along with other family members and friends to welcome him home.
Stacy left behind his Mom and Dad, Buddy & Linda Ledford, sister Gina Sanders & husband, Vic Sanders. Also, his nieces, Hailey Townson (Keith), Chase Sanders (Radford) and his friend and nephew, Colton Sanders.
Stacy will be missed by many. Arrangements for Stacy are Sunday, October 20th at Sunny Point Baptist Church at 2:00 pm for visitation and the funeral will be at 3:00 pm. Tommy Hayes and Alan Harris will be officiating. Burial will be at Sunny Point Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Colton Sanders, Ronnie Holloway, Darren Ledford, Ridge Ware, Bobby Robinson, Paul Ledford and Billy Rogers. A host of friends will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Townson-Rose Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
