Patsy Sue Dockery, 79, of Murphy passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Wayne Rogers, Sr. and Bessie Cornwell Rogers. Patsy had worked as a seamstress at Levi Textile Company. She loved gardening, taking care of her pets. Patsy was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family, and she never met a stranger.
In addition to her parents and her husband Sheridan Harley Dockery, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne Rogers, Jr., Dewey Rogers and Harold Rogers; sisters, Rosa Thomas, Mary Ann Jones and Betty Jean Cole; and a grandchild, Michael Ray McDonald.
She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Dockery McDonald (Ben) and Tammy Dockery Kirby (Joe Brown); grandchildren, Jonathan Arthur McDonald and Jeremy Daniel Kirby; great grandsons, Jacob Bentley McDonald, Deacon Ray McDonald; a great granddaughter, Elynor Alice McDonald; a special great grandchild on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm, Friday, January 10, 2025 with Rev. Kenneth Dockery officiating at the Ebenezer Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm, Friday, January 10, 2025 at the Ebenezer Baptist Church.
