Margaret R. Sistrunk, 77, of Brasstown passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Neal and Margaret Kirkland Roberson.
Margaret had worked for OMC as an assembler for boat motors. After retirement, she enjoyed working at Bealls. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. Margaret was a member of Little Brasstown Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughters, Missy Hooper, Debbie Stovall; step-daughter, Jessica Rose Myers (Chad); brother, Hubert Kirkland (Imogene); sisters, Mary Lou Carpenter, and Linda Walker; grandchildren, Wesley Buchanan (Mollie), Chloe Hooper, Danelle Stoval, and a step-son, Matthew Myers; and a great grandchild, Maisie Buchanan.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, June 4, 2026 in the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Aud Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Wesley Buchanan, Dwayne Buchanan, Greg Hooper, Joe Amato, Danny Allen, and Darrell Allen.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home prior to the services.
