Garland Ray White, 78, of Brasstown, NC passed away Sunday, May 31, 2026. He was the son of the late Luther and Verde Walls White.
He had worked as a logger. Garland loved hunting, fishing, digging ramps, ginseng, and farming. He enjoyed helping people.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth White; a brother, Arthur White; and a sister, Ada Taylor.
Surviving Garland are two brothers, Oliver White and Dee White (Emma).
Funeral services will be held at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel, Andrews at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 6, 2026 with Pastor Oliver Harrison White officiating. Burial will be held at Valley River Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dwayne White, Justin Roberts, Zander White, Walter White, Luke White, and Doug Taylor.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel, Andrews prior to the services.
Townson-Rose Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
