Mary "Suzie" Smith, age 73 of Marble, NC passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021.
She was born in Clay County, NC to the late Earl "Bill" and Lois Trout Smith. Suzie worked as a Tech Advisor for Grove Enterprise. She had a green thumb for gardening. Mary enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking and enjoyed going to church. Suzie loved to paint and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid reader; especially reading her Bible. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Smith; and sisters, Patsy and Janice Smith.
She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Davidson (Joseph) of Clover, SC and Melanie Karlick (Kurt) of Murphy, NC; one sister, Joanne Crisp of Murphy, NC; sister in law, Jane Tanner; four grandchildren, Brett Lovingood, Brittany Lovingood, Baileigh Lovingood and Madeline Karlick; four great grandchildren, Hannah Harrison, Dakodah Farmer, Addie and Aroura Lovingood; and family friend, Jerry Hughes.
Graveside Services will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the Tomotla Community Cemetery. Pastor Harold Stiles will officiate. Pallbearers will be Kurt Karlick, Joe Davidson, Brett Lovingood, Dean Smith, Dustin Smith and Lee Hughes.
