Giles Kenneth Coffey, age 87 of Andrews, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022.
Giles was born in Murphy to the late Paul and Grovie Rowland Coffey. He was in food service industry serving as an assistant manager at the A & P and had managed several other stores in the area. Giles was an avid sportsman whom had fished and won many bass tournaments and had also enjoyed hunting small game. He was an Army Corporal veteran.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Coffey and sister, Joanne Coffey Yates.
Giles is survived by his son, Tim Coffey and wife Lori; grandchildren, Dan Coffey and wife Stephanie and Beth Kinzley and husband Chad; and great grandchildren Truett, Loc and Clyde Coffey.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews. Rev. Al Hood will officiate. Music will be conducted by Harry and Katie Gilbert. Burial will be in Maltby Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Howard Coffey, Eddie Wood, Keith Wood, Harold Rathbone, John Kilpatrick and James Reid.
The family will receive friends from 1pm-2pm on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 prior to the service.
