Paul Leon Yonce, 90, of Murphy passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2026. He was the son of the late Osbourne and Ida Willis Yonce. Paul enjoyed gardening, reading, Farming, and spending time with his family. Paul had served in the Vietnam/Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nelle Mathis Yonce; a son, Jeffrey Alan Yonce; brothers, James David Yonce, Roy Eugene Yonce, William Harley Yonce, Robert Harold Youce, and Carl Ralph Yonce; sisters, Grace Pauline Tallant, Nell Pannel, and an infant sister, Peggy Ann Yonce.
Surviving are a son, Michael Paul Yonce; and grandchildren, Jennifer White (Matt), Laura Malcolm (John), and a great grandchild, Andrew White.
A graveside service will be held at 12:15 pm Sunday, September 20, 2026 in the Aquone Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Townson-Rose Funeral Home from 10:00 am – 11:00 AM. Pallbearers will be Andrew White, Tommy Yonce, Adam Yonce, Eric Yonce, Charles Mathis, and James “Jimbo” Yonce. Honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Mathis, Ronnie Chastain, Alex Parker, and John Malcolm.
