Bruce “Ivan” Hogsed, age 61 of Burkesville, Kentucky, previously of Warne, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023.
Ivan was born in Hawaii to Helen Cook Hogsed and the late Bruce Hogsed. He was the owner and operator of Hogsed Sports Wear in Warne.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Scott Hogsed.
Ivan is survived by his mother, Helen Cook Hogsed; his brothers, Jack Hogsed, Sam Hogsed and Eric Hogsed; and several nieces and nephews, Hunter, Wright, Ethan, Matthew, Ben, Tyler, Hailey, Savanna, Alex, Reid, Tate and Addylynn.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Warne. Rev. Benjamin Hogsed, Pastor Ricky Rogers and Pastor Dennis Miles will officiate. Burial will be at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Hunter Hogsed, Wright Hogsed, Matthew Hogsed, Keith Boatwright, Mark Ritz, Wayne Dutton, Jimmy Amos, Jason Cook, Tyler Boatwright and Alex Hogsed. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith McKinney, Lewis Foster, Trip Davis, Bill Carter, Ray Cook, Matt Brunson, Hugh Pitman, Tyler Swanger, Trevor Boatwright, Ethan Hogsed, Danny Byers and Donnie Cook.
The family will receive friends from 12pm - 2pm on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church prior to the funeral service.
Ivan had lived in Kentucky for the last 15 years. There will be a memorial service in Kentucky at a later date.
