Harold Dean Lovingood, age 77 of Murphy, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.
Harold was born in Cherokee County to the late Eugene and Janie Dockery Lovingood. He had worked as a mechanic for the Cherokee County School Systems. Harold was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Josephine Lovingood Radford.
Harold is survived by his wife, Barbara Lovingood; a son, Earl Lovingood and wife Kendra; a grandson, Ethan Lovingood; and a nephew, Eric Radford.
A funeral service will be held at 8pm on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Murphy. Rev. Jerry Kilpatrick will officiate. The Hayes Brothers will conduct the music. A graveside service will be held at 3pm on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric Radford, Phil Kephart, Donnie Palmer, Bryan Kilpatrick, Derek Cheek and Michael Carter. Honorary pallbearer is Jeff Stiles.
The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Murphy prior to the funeral service.
