Alice “Toosie” Eulene Lambert, age 87, previously of Murphy, passed away peacefully in her home in Port St. Lucie, Florida on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.
Alice was born in Murphy to the late J.E. and Asalee Dockery Graves. She had retired after 25 years as a social services supervisor from the Cherokee County Department of Social Services. She was an avid bowler, loving wife, mother and family member.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Art Lambert; her brothers, Ralph, Albert, Bert and Jim Graves; and her sister, Velma Sprinkles.
Alice is survived by her son, Matthew Lambert and wife Kellie; her daughters, Sharon Woods and husband Eddie and Marta Dellinger and husband Adrian; her grandchildren, Heather Morrison, Courtney Huntley, Joey Allen, Jr, Heather Joslin, Amber LeComte, Brittany Lambert, Josh Lambert and Jaelyn Burns; and her 17 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 3pm on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Murphy. Rev. Kenneth Dockery will officiate. Burial will be at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Allen III, Ashton Allen, Will Huntley, Tim Allen, Bryan Graves and Joe Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are Miles Allen, Alex Lopez, Josh Lambert, Joey Allen, Jr and Andrew Burns.
The family will receive friends from 1:30pm to 3pm on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Murphy prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1045 Ebenezer Road, Murphy, NC 28906.
