Johnny Jewel Hall, age 96 of Locust Grove, GA, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024.
Johnny was born in Cherokee County to the late Bill Hall and Mary Jackson Hall. He worked as a transit driver. Johnny coached baseball for 30 years. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting and fishing. Johnny also loved gardening, especially growing tomatoes. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter in law, Barbara Hall.
He is survived by his son, Greg Hall; his brothers, Bud and Jim Hall; his sisters, Brenda Edwards, Charlotte Bradshaw and Loretta Miller; his grandchildren, Jay Hall, Linda Heard and Lori Love; and his great grandchildren, Haley Love, Lindsey Heard and Lorian Heard.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Warne with Pastor Dennis Miles officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Miller, Wesley Edwards, Mike Jones, Mike Heard, Jim Redwine and J.J. Hall.
The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at the church prior to the funeral service.
