Kathy J. Emerick Cossar, age 54 of Blairsville, GA passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025.
She was born in Greensboro, PA to the late John Emerick and Jean Henderson Emerick of Jeannette, PA. Kathy enjoyed cooking, baking, music and painting. She had a passion for conversation with others, good hearted person, and loved helping others in their time of need. Kathy loved spending time with her grandkids. In her younger days, she enjoyed classic cars; she owned several. Kathy was of the Catholic faith.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Matthew Emerick, Sr.
She is survived by her husband, Scott Cossar; one son, Shane Spray (Marisa) of Robbinsville, NC; one daughter, Katie Cook of Franklin, NC; one brother, Ken Emerick of Central Florida; two sisters, Johnna Argentine (Tim) of Central Florida and Rachael Emerick-Cadwallader of Jeannette, PA and four grandchildren, Adia Spray, Andrew Cook, Jr., Zoe Grace Turner and Lucky Cook.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Burial will be in the Ogreeta Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shane Spray, Scott Cossar, Matthew Emerick and Mark Ramey.
The family will receive friends from 12 pm to 1 pm, Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home.
