Corena Reece Bettis, age 79 of Warne, NC, passed away Friday, June 19, 2020.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County, NC and the daughter of late Mont and Molly Ledford Reece. Corena worked at IOI as a supervisor. She enjoyed working in her flower garden. Corena was a devout Christian; she loved church and was a member of First Baptist Church of Young Harris, GA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Sonny Ray Bettis and two sisters, Arlene Brown and Bernice Beavers.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles Bettis; one daughter, Margaret Stalcup and husband David; daughter in law, Mary Jane Bettis; two sisters, Audrey Prater and Lois Nix; four grandchildren, Stephanie, Emily, Kristina and LoriBeth; and five great grandchildren, Charlotte, Evelyn, Maise, William and Eric.
A graveside service will be held at 2 pm, Monday, June 22, 2020 at the Pine Log Community Cemetery. Rev. Kevin Miller will officiate.
