Shirley Patricia Griffith Aldridge Jones Deyton, age 88 of Marble, NC passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022.
She was born in Graham County, NC to the late WC and Annie Jordan Griffith of Andrews, NC. Shirley graduated from Robbinsville High School. She was formerly employed as a secretary at Marble Elementary School. Shirley was a member of Marble Springs Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years and served her church faithfully.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Herbert Aldridge of Andrews, Willis Jones of Andrews and Gordon Deyton of Marble, NC.
She is survived by one daughter, Kathy Aldridge Triplett (Tom) of Hickory, NC and one son, Kent Aldridge (Paula) of Marion, NC; one grandson, Mitchell Aldridge of Marion, NC; and two great grandsons, Connor and Blake Aldridge of Marion, NC.
A memorial service will be held at 3 pm, Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Marble Springs Baptist Church in Marble. Rev. John Bailey will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm, Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Marble Springs Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Marble Springs Baptist Church, PO Box 264, Marble, NC 28905 in memory as a thank you for all the love and support they shown during her illness.
