James Jean Sherman, age 53 of Murphy and previously of Schenectady, New York, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.
James was born in Schenectady, New York to the late Edward Earl and Mary Ann Colombe Sherman. He had worked for P & R Paving. James was a rockhound and enjoyed being outdoors, cars and his family.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Killian; his son, Sean James Sherman; his daughters, Mary Sherman (Austin Gamble) and Brianna Sherman (Joshua Hampton); his brothers, Junior, Ed, Donald, Will and Wesley Sherman; his sisters, Donna Folk and Syri Bogdanowicz; and his grandchildren, Quincy Sherman and Remi Gamble.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Murphy. Rev. Calvin Murphy will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Murphy prior to the service.
