George "Bill" William Price, age 92 of Andrews, passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, July 28, 2024.He was the son of the late Sherman and Lucille Koonz Price. He had been a cable splicer and installer for GTE phone company. Bill was a veteran of the Korean War and retired from GTE. He loved camping and being outdoors. Bill attended Tuskeegee Baptist Church for many years and later became a member of Marble Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie June Price; sisters, Betty Price Joyce Bentley (Cecil), Delores Skaggs (David), and Carolyn Bunting.
Bill is survived by a son, Michael Price of Andrews; daughters, Tammie Rutkosky of Almond, and Jeanetta Brady (Preston) of Murphy; grandchildren, Christopher Brady (Heather), Derek Rutkosky, Drew Rutkosky (Jennifer), Jessica Sarinana (Josue), and Phillip Watts (Amber); great grandchildren, Kaylee, Kynsley, and Hudson Brady, Acacia, Harper, Kellan, and Hollyn Rutkosky, Brodie Gruber, Matthew Sarinana, Jacob Serinana, Lana and Kaylie Watts; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
